Overview
Support, monitor and maintain existing interfaces between Nationwide Children's Hospital's Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and other Clinical/Ancillary Systems, using the Cloverleaf (QUOVADX) Interface Engine. Identify opportunities for process improvements to both existing and new interfaces. Organize and lead interface specification meetings for gathering customer requirements; Build interface implementation project plans; Design effective interfaces and develop test plans per technical specifications; Program integration solutions per individual system specifications; Perform quality assurance testing for each interface and work with members of other teams to ensure synchronization of data across interfaced applications; and deliver project requirements to customers within specified timeframes. Provide 24x7 on-call support on a rotating basis. Participate in unit and integrated testing for all upgrades to Epic, Clinical/ Ancillary and Cloverleaf systems.Why Nationwide Children's Hospital?

Analyzing workflows and gathering requirements, implementing specifications, supporting and maintaining build related to Epic or other EMR's
Supporting and troubleshooting interface tools, utilities or processes that support HL7 protocol and message structureCreating batch processes to update Electronic Medical Record applications or Clinical Systems databasesScripting using extension/embeddable languages such as XML (Extensible Markup Language) or TCL (Tool Command Language) to perform quality assurance and maintain data integrity.Rotating 24-7 on-call support.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field. Five years of progressive experience as Systems Analyst, Programmer Analyst, IT Consultant or relatedMaster's degree and three years in the above areas is acceptable in lieu of bachelor's and five years.At least one certification in an Epic Electronic Medical Record application.Certification in Cloverleaf Interface Administration or Epic Bridges or Epic Interface.The above list of duties is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by individuals assigned to this classification.
