Role Overview:
Under the direction of the HR Business Partner, you will provide day-to-day guidance and support on standard HR related issues and inquires. The Talent Advisor will assist with employee relations, partner with managers and employees on ad hoc questions/requests, help provide clarity to talent processes and support Workday activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ability to flex hours occasionally as needed to support different shifts.
Employee Relations and Performance Management.
Identify and monitor the organization's culture so that it supports the attainment of the company's goals and promotes a positive employee experience.
Assist employees and supervisors through challenging situations with support of the Talent Business Partner.
Assist with investigations, discipline, and coaching/counseling as needed.
Ensure compliance with EEO, AAP, OSHA, WC, Unemployment, FMLA , ADA, FLSA, and other state and federal regulations.
Manage the termination process which includes exit process and interpreting exit survey data and escalating feedback.
Facilitate the professional and hourly performance review processes
Support compliance related projects.
Resolve escalated HR issues and inquiries.
Provide program support to Talent Management in the following areas:
Annual Performance Review Process
Annual Merit Cycle
Strategic Talent Review
Internal Mobility
Organizational Design
Assist in change management for business transformations.
Participate in the process of creating job families and career progression for assigned teams.
Partner with managers to support org/structure change.
Assist in the design of new policies/programs.
Update job descriptions for teams or departments.
Lead HR Project of varying size and scope that may span across HR or business units
Employee Experience
Provide support for Employee Experience programs (i.e., engagement survey, skip level meetings, exit interviews, stay interviews, action planning, etc.)
Use data and analytics to gain insight into employee feedback, provide personalized and relevant experiences, as well as development opportunities.
Cultivate an inclusive and supportive working environment for all employees.
Metrics & Reporting
Support, communicate, and track employee title, department, compensation changes and terminations with the payroll and benefits team
Provide reports and analysis on various employee data as required by location leadership on a monthly basis.
Recruiting
Work closely with the hiring managers and recruiters to ensure positions are filled quickly and efficiently
Assist with planning and executing onsite job fairs as well as offsite job fairs
Ensure all required new hire paperwork (application, background checks, I-9, etc.) is completed for new hires.
Payroll
Perform weekly audits on employee timesheets for accuracy and completeness
Provide basic Kronos support for employees
Administer Attendance Policy by tracking occurrences and generating reports
Education and Experience Requirements:
This position requires a Associates degree in Human Resources Management, or related field; OR equivalent experience.
Minimum 1-3 years' experience in Human Resources, previous experience in a manufacturing facility is strongly preferred
Workday experience preferred
Up-to- date knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations.
Strong customer focus with ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of people.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Self-motivated, self-directed, and organized
Excellent time management and follow-up skills
High level of attention to detail and accuracy required
Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise good judgement and diplomacy
Some travel may be required
