Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Respiratory Therapist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 12/02/2024 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours Employment Type: Travel Position Description: Data Collection : 6/14/2024 Unit Information: Respiratory Care Department Location: The Woman’s Hospital of Texas Address: 7800 Fannin Houston, Texas 77054 Floor: 4 th Floor Building: Main Campus General Information Tell us about the unit(s): · Number of Beds -148 bed Level 3 & 4 NICU, 18 Pedi Beds, 14 PICU beds, 4 adult women’s ICU, Level 2 NICU 30 Beds · Number of Staff – (2) FT night shift needed primarily in the pediatric units only · Type of staff: o Day Shift – no needs at this time o Night Shift – 3 nights per week 12-hour shifts, rotating weekend and holidays, disaster team staffing requirement, and 6:30p.m.-7:00a.m. (Possibly 4 shifts per week availability) · Patient Ratios – 6-8 pts to 1 RT based on acuity · Type of equipment – Hamilton G5 and T1, BCPAP, Neptune Heaters, Teleflex HFNC, HFOV, INOmax DSiR, PB980 (adult women only), Aerogen solo and Ultra, RapidPoint Blood Gas Analyzers · EMR – MediTech and Rapidcomm Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters) Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. · RRT/CRT Texas License · BLS · NRP Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first. · Level 2 NICU/Pedi and PICU/ ER/ Adult experience · PALS preferred List typical procedures performed on unit(s): · Vent management of pediatric and adult women intubated, trache care, and non-invasive · MDI/Nebulizer tx’s, Chest Physiotherapy, and Oxygen therapy · Treatments to Pediatric and adults, IS, ER for respiratory distress · Nitric Oxide, ABG analysis, in house procedures, Arterial Punctures · EKG’s all age groups · Level 2 NICU (BCPAP and oxygen neonates only) Dress Code : Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire. · Scrub Color - Steel Grey Unit Guidelines/Policies : Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines.
