Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Job Description
Designs and manufactures conveyor systems to keep consumer packaged goods moving in ways that are faster, more reliable, and more efficient. Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. Position parts and subassemblies by following assembly instructions and drawings. Assemble components by mechanically fastening parts and subassemblies. Verify specifications by measuring completed conveyor sections. Keep equipment operational by completing preventative maintenance procedures.
Responsibilities
Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
Position parts and subassemblies by following assembly instructions and drawings.
Assemble components by mechanically fastening parts and subassemblies.
Verify specifications by measuring completed conveyor sections.
Keep equipment operational by completing preventative maintenance procedures.
Essential Skills
Mechanical assembly
Mechanical aptitude
Ability to read and interpret a tape measure
Experience with hand tools such as ratchets, wrenches, battery and pneumatic operated tools
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Candidates with prior experience in mechanical assembly or experience with interpreting blueprints are preferred
Ability to work 1st shift and occasional overtime as needed
