BASIC PURPOSE
The purpose of the Assistant Residence Manager is to assist the Residence Manager with the beneficiaries to ensure the smooth operation of the ARP.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Abide by all house rules and enforce same as outlined in the Beneficiary Handbook.
Ensure the safety and security of beneficiaries while on shift, being visible and available.
Implement and supervise leisure time activities.
Coordinate duties with Residence Manager.
Oversee front deskmen and janitorial force.
Conduct bed and locker checks with locker checks being completed a minimum of once per week.
Report all violations to Residence Manager.
Complete daily written reports, including incidents that are unusual or noteworthy.
Attend meetings as required.
Abide by all local, state, federal OAHA and Salvation Army safety policies.
Other duties as assigned by Residence Manager, Program Director or Washoe County Coordinators.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
Basic understanding of Windows and Microsoft Office programs.
Strong verbal and written skills essential with the ability to read, write and comprehend the English language.
In recovery is a requirement. Experience working with individuals in recovery a plus.
One year supervisory experience.
Must be able to live on site a minimum of five (5) nights per week.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
High school graduate or equivalent.
Valid Nevada driver’s license and acceptable MVR.
Complete The Salvation Army vehicle course training.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis up to eight (8) hours per day
Ability to grasp, push, and/or pull objects
Ability to reach overhead
Ability to operate telephone
Ability to lift to 50 pounds
Ability to operate a computer
Ability to process written, visual, and/or verbal information
Ability to operate basic office equipment.
