Planned Parenthood Keystone (PPKey)
serves 37 counties in Pennsylvania, home to over half of Pennsylvania residents. We have administrative offices in the Lehigh Valley, Harrisburg, Warminster, and York. We operate 7 medical centers that serve over 30,000 patients annually and offer comprehensive sexuality education that reaches thousands of young adults.

Planned Parenthood Keystone is looking for a full-time, exempt Director of Finance.
The Director of Finance is responsible for directing, managing, and reporting the financial activities of the organization, overseeing day-to-day fiscal operations, and supervising Finance staff. The Director of Finance is responsible for the preparation of the monthly financial statements and analyzes and interprets financial results. Alongside the Chief Financial Officer, recommends tactical and strategic advances in financial policy, planning, and management. The Director of Finance provides leadership to the organization through interdepartmental coordination and teamwork.
While this is a remote role, there may be occasional travel involved. We are currently accepting applicants from the following states:

Essential FunctionsRecruit, manage, and develop Finance staff.Complete annual performance appraisals in accordance with HR guidelines.Maintain written policies of all procedures to adhere to PPFA Elements of Performance (EOPs), audit standards, internal control standards, family council statutory requirements, and internal/external reporting requirements.Maintain banking and investment relationships for routine services, resource management, asset transfers, and lines of credit.Review/approve weekly payables batches and initiate related wire transfers, and ensure accurate posting of all subledgers to the general ledger.Ensure that all centers are properly adhering to procedures around cash handling and reporting, including but not limited to: signature requirements, deposit verifications, and petty cash procedures.Assist CFO with the management of agency cash flow by monitoring the timing of expenditures and lines of credit; reconciles cash transactions in Practice Management and Fundraising systems.Review, approve, and post journal entries prepared by the Financial Analyst/Sr. Accountant.Oversee regular review of the general ledger. This includes account reconciliations, general ledger structure and maintenance, and regular review of accounts to assure accuracy and detect/correct anomalies.Prepare agency financial statements that are timely and accurate for both internal and external stakeholders.Ensure compliance with financial management restrictions of funders and proper accounting treatment of restricted contributions.Assist the CFO in leading the annual budget preparation.Coordinate annual audits and agreed-upon procedures, ensuring on-time completion and delivery.Prepare reporting to external agencies that is timely and accurate.Oversee and coordinate quarterly CRQM audits.Ensure timely and accurate tax filings are completed.Communicate with the Director of Center Operations/Director of Health Services & Systems to communicate issues identified in various reconciliation processes for training and follow-up with centers and personnel.Participate in interdepartmental, interdisciplinary teams to improve and integrate centralized and distributed financial operations, with special attention to technical assistance and oversight of health centers. Alert the CFO as variances or issues arise.Serve as an Ambassador for the organization to inspire support and connection with the mission and services provided by the affiliate.Adhere to all HIPAA and patient privacy regulations.Other duties as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer.>
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Required:Bachelor's or Master's degrees in a related field, or equivalent experience.7 years of experience with progressive-related responsibility.Extensive knowledge of accounting practices and principles.Advanced computer skills, including competency in Microsoft Office software, affiliate email, Internet, patient management systems, and financial accounting software. Experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge preferred.Strong interpersonal and communication skills that enable work in a collaborative and multifaceted team environment.Ability to write clear, persuasive, and informative reports, correspondence, and procedural instructions.Ability to analyze and interpret concrete and abstract data, business and professional journals, technical procedures, financial reports, and applicable government laws and regulations.Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.Ability to organize, multi-task, and effectively function in a fast-paced environment to set and achieve short- and long-term goals.Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.Strong commitment to quality healthcare and excellent customer service.Willingness to travel and access to a reliable means of transportation.Preferred:Certified Public Accountant (CPA) CertificateExperience in non-profit and/or healthcare accounting.>
