Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Visualization and Reporting Analyst with a strong background in Evisions Argos Enterprise Reporting tool and highly proficient SQL skills. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in writing functional user reports and a proven track record of working with the Ellucian Banner ERP system, or another Higher Education ERP. This role involves close collaboration with a team of skilled programmers and analysts, as well as direct interaction with functional users across various Banner domains. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in conducting needs analysis and developing necessary Data Blocks and reports to support the College's mission.Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with various academic and administrative departments, including Institutional Research, Enrollment Management, Registrar's Office, Finance, Human Resources, Financial Aid, and Institutional Advancement, to perform in-depth needs assessments and craft tailor-made reporting solutions. This responsibility encompasses conducting root cause investigations to resolve data inconsistencies, engaging with end users to refine business procedures, and executing systematic data cleansing to ensure accuracy in data sets.Utilize Evisions Argos Enterprise Reporting tool and SQL to create data blocks that allow the incumbent and functional users to create reports based on data on the Ellucian Banner system.Scale Evisions Argos and Ellucian Insights platforms through building advanced dashboards and reports aiming to improve overall performance, efficiency, data driven decision making, and ultimately enhance student outcomesParticipate in system integration tasks, including identifying necessary data and building required files.Take a leading role in organizing and engaging in initiatives aimed at enhancing data literacy, upholding data governance standards, and providing training on report and dashboard development to key stakeholders. Additionally, conduct training sessions for users on how to effectively utilize the ARGOS and Ellucian Insights reporting platforms.

Qualifications

Associate's degree required with 3-5 years of work-related experience. Bachelor's degree preferred. Years of experience will be considered in lieu of education.Proven experience as a Reporting Analyst, preferably in a higher education setting.Extensive experience with Ellucian Banner ERP, or another Higher Education ERP, with a preference for candidates with direct Ellucian Banner experience.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Regularly cross-check work and be vigilant in analysis for accurate conclusions.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a team of programmers and analysts, as well as directly with functional users across various domains.Ability to communicate with business users of all levels to develop and deliver reporting requirements and present your findings or translate the data into an understandable document.Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas.Ability to create compelling data visualizations for dashboards and reports.Ability to adapt and be flexible with new tools, platforms, processes, etc.Ability to work with large datasets; facts, figures, and number crunching.Understanding of statistical methods and analysis such as probability distributions, regressions, correlation, causation, variance, etc.Effectively handle multiple tasks and deadlines.Demonstrated experience with SQL server databases, especially the SQL language, data cleaning and preparation.Knowledge of personal computers using Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and advanced skills required in Excel and Google Sheets.Experience working in a higher education setting is preferred.Experience with Ellucian Banner, Argos, or Raisers Edge required.

This position is required to be on-site. Hybrid work is available after six-months of employment.
