Regional Sales Manager
to join the
Kenall Team
in
Kenosha, WI (Hybrid)
. Maintain, develop, and direct agent marketing and sales program for an assigned region to achieve established company order entry and sales objectives.
Act as a liaison between the company and its agents, distributors, product specifiers, installers, and end users in all matters relating to marketing and sales of products and services.
What Will You Do?
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Establish performance standards and annual agent business plan.
Evaluate sales agent performance.
Assist in the development of programs designed to motivate agent sales and promotion activities.
Plan agent field visits.
Develop and maintain effective sales agent relationship and rapport.
Implement agent field sales training, new product, and market orientation programs.
Set up and hold meetings as required.
Maintain agent organization in the region; recruit, interview, screen, and select additional or sales agent replacements.
Respond to and follow through on project specification, customer application needs, quotations, product field problems, and photometric assistance.
Pursue quotations utilizing approved pricing guidelines.
Participate in industry and association trade shows and meetings.
Monitor, survey, and stay abreast of competitor activities in the field, and keep management informed of new product developments, price trends, and marketing and sales techniques.
Evaluate and recommend new products to be developed, as well as the consideration of standard product modifications, marketing programs, and sales methods and procedures to increase sales revenue.
Manage assigned target markets and special accounts.
Prepare reports of activities and reports of a special nature as requested.
Other duties as assigned.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Active participation in ongoing individual training / development program
Set goals and objectives with Manager; look for ways to improve quality and productivity
Follow safety rules and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequired Skills
B.S. or B.A. and 5 years of sales related experience required.
Lighting background is preferred.
Substantial technical lighting and/or electrical expertise, deep product knowledge.
Effective presentation skills.
Independent operation, yet team-oriented; strong interpersonal skills; effective consultative selling skills to drive close of a sale.
Strong negotiating skills.
Excellent communication skills; demonstrates strong grammatical use of the English language.
Outgoing, assertive, energetic, enthusiastic and customer-oriented; demonstrated ability to display strong customer service skills.
Must be professional in appearance and attitude and possess the ability to work in a professional manner with customers, vendors, and employees at all levels.
Computer literate including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
High level of self-initiative and dependability.
Resourceful and highly organized with an attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage, prioritize and balance multiple tasks.
Ability to work within a team environment.
