System Administrator
Littleton, CO
Contract Position
$110.00/Hour
This role is supporting the space systems division of one of our longest partners in our 28 years of staffing in Aerospace and Defense. This program builds satellites and spacecraft that do amazing things in space for government and commercial customers. You will be working with a team whose satellites give earlier warning of severe weather, connect troops on the battlefield, and deliver GPS directions to a billion people worldwide. Responsibilities: Serve as the primary point of contact for the setup and maintenance of all program IT-related infrastructure. Collaborate with program stakeholders to define business requirements, design, develop, and implement IT solutions across software, hardware, and infrastructure. Ensure security compliance for all IT assets across Linux, Windows, and network environments. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree with 6-10 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with 4-8 years of relevant experience. Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance with a CI Poly required. Certifications: Must have CompTIA Security+ or a higher DoD 8572 qualified certificate. Experience: Expertise in operating systems life cycle management, including installation, upgrades, patching, and system imaging. Proficiency in managing Microsoft Windows Servers and Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Experience with vulnerability remediation and security management tools (e.g., Nessus, McAfee, WSUS, SCCM, Ivanti). Skilled in virtualization tools such as VMWare or Hyper-V. Ability to design, install, configure, and maintain secure LAN, WAN, and voice communication systems. Strong troubleshooting skills for network issues and root cause analysis. Knowledge of scripting and automation (e.g., Ansible, Perl, Bash, PowerShell). Experience with container management (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with storage/restoration services like NetApp/EMC and disaster recovery practices. Knowledge of networking protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and spanning-tree. Experience with COTS software installations and support. Proficiency with SAN environments across Linux, Unix, and Windows. Understanding of cloud platforms (OpenStack, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and authentication services like Linux with Active Directory. Knowledge of network management tools (e.g., SolarWinds) and Network Access Control (NAC) using Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
