Responsibilities
Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar
Coordinate with patients to confirm or reschedule appointments as needed
Ensure accurate and timely entry of patient information into the scheduling system
Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to optimize scheduling efficiency
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling patient information
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding appointments and scheduling
Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing their needs and concerns
Verify insurance and resolve insurance related issues
Requirements
Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably in a dental or medical office setting
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Knowledge of dental or medical terminology and procedures
Proficiency in using scheduling systems, such as Dentrix
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Salary dependent on experience.
