Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat patients requiring speech-language therapy.

Perform therapy interventions utilizing standard therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of the patient.

Educate and counsel patient and family regarding treatment plans.

Maintain clinical records and follow performance improvement recommendations.

Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from speech therapy services. Provide information regarding appropriate support programs.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

One or more of the following required:

Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Or Temporary Permit obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. If hired with Temporary Permit, must pass boards and obtain Speech-Language Pathology (SLP)credential within 4 Months (120 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the Indiana Board of Speech-Language Pathology Audiology obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Or Temporary Permit obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. If hired with Temporary Permit, must pass boards and obtain Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) credential within 4 Months (120 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.

Additional Preferences

Experience in infant and pediatric feeding disorders, infant dysphagia, and swallow studies

Interest in orienting to craniofacial clinic and eventually perform scopes for this patient population.

This is a very high level position and probably one of the most challenging.
