Overview
This is a remote role that may only be hired in the following location(s): AZ, GA, MA, NC, NJ, TXThe Senior Salesforce Engineer has design, development, and maintenance responsibility for the Salesforce Financial Services cloud platform. This will include support for a broad range of business units such as core banking, wealth management, commercial and residential lending, among others. The position provides exposure to many business units in a dynamic financial services firm. This role requires direct interaction with end users and excellent analytical and communication skills.Responsibilities
Deliver results on complex development projects involving teams across the Product Development department and Bank as a wholeCollaborate with internal customers and departmental leadershipWork with customers to resolve business critical concernsEnsure all Salesforce work supports both the individual business areas and the enterprise as a wholeAlign all architecture and design decisions with Enterprise Architecture guidelines and standardsGather Business Requirements working with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and end usersPerform Hands-on Configuration in alignment with enterprise strategy, change management and deployment processesImplement new products and packages within Salesforce & FSC and communicate updates throughout the companyUnderstand all aspects of Salesforce.com configuration and technical/functional capabilities, including changes and potential system implications.Partner with various teams to research, resolve, and document production issuesRelease and Environment Management including sandbox usage planning, metadata and data migration, environment comparisons and version control.Drives process improvement changes to ensure high productivity and quality of services providedMaintain high-level familiarity with other IT system/business application capabilities in order to make recommendations about potential upstream/downstream integration or functionalityPartner with Architecture and the Salesforce Product Owner to understand current and future strategies and objectivesWork with Product Managers, Business analysts, and business area stakeholders to understand, document, and prioritize Salesforce and nCino enhancements and projectsManage all Salesforce environments including Production, Full Sandboxes, Partial Development Sandboxes, etc. Ensure that strict release management protocols are followed, and environments are kept up-to-date
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance.Preferred Qualifications3+ years of Hands-on Salesforce experience including lightning and Financial Services Cloud versions2+ years of experience with Salesforce Einstein AnalyticsSalesforce Administrator certification and/or Developer certification is requiredStrong knowledge of modern software design principles, concepts, and best practicesSignificant Hands-on experience in design and development of custom solutions on the Force.com platform including significant work in Apex, Visual Force, Lightning, application integration patterns using Mule soft and other ETL toolsExpert with configuring / customizing standard SFDC objects such as Leads, Accounts, Opportunities, Reports & Dashboards, with proven hands-on experience building custom objects & solutionsExpert in bulk data migration from Excel & Legacy Systems to SFDC using Apex Data Loader, Demand Tools, and the Import Wizard.Expert knowledge of data structures, data modeling and database schemaStrong experience with technologies integral to Salesforce.com including HTML/XHTML, jQuery, JavaScript, AJAX, SQL, SOAP, REST, JSON, Apex, and SOQL.Multiple Salesforce project deployments including 2+ years with release and environment management on enterprise level deploymentsStrong mentoring skills with excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving capabilities.Self-motivated with exceptional follow-throughAbility to independently prioritize and complete tasks in a structured mannerStrong ability to interface and cultivate good working relationships across business and shared service areas at all levelsAbility to respectfully challenge requests regardless of level of person making the requestStrong problem solving and analysis skills with the ability to work and deliver under tight deadlinesExperience with DevOps and CI/CDExperience working in an agile environment (e.g. Scrum, Kanban) preferred.Experience in financial services is highly desiredExperience with modern JS frameworks like Angular.js and repositories such as Azure DevOps and GitLab is preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiencesFirst Citizens benefits programs are designed to meet our associates where they are in life.
