Position Summary

Lochridge-Priest is a family owned and operated company that has served the Central Texas area for over 60 years. The Project Manager is solely responsible for the complete oversight and delivery of a successful project, which includes maximizing project margins while promoting company objectives and goals through the performance of his/her team, meeting quality and safety standards, responding to customer needs, and cultivating customer relationships through proactive interaction. This intern position provides opportunities for a highly motivated student ready to take on new challenges to support the Project Manager on complex projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This internship is to understand project organization, planning, programming, administration, design, and construction phases of projects.

Assist in preparing pre-job tasks and presenting segments of continuing planning team meetings to ensure all special reports, studies, and statistical analysis.

Accompany superintendents on project quality walk throughs and attend various project team meetings.

Learn the basics of project costs, tracking materials, project coordination, safety and managing submittals.

Have a hands-on, career enhancing experience on heavy construction projects.

Occasionally required to light and/or move up to, 25 pounds.

Qualifications

Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering.

Mut be at least 18 years of age.

Eligible to work 40 hours per week.

Ability to read and understand instructions, labels, reports, etc.

Excellent computer skills with intermediate to advance Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

Must be team oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
