Locum Physician Assistant (PA) - General Surgery in Baltimore, MD

A Mid Sized Hospital is seeking a General Surgery Physician Assistant for locum tenens coverage. Baltimore has some of the most picturesque views in all of Maryland. Duties include screening patients and performing complete histories and physical examinations; ordering/prescribing necessary medications, laboratory and radiologic studies, routine fluids, diets, patient activities, and similar patient care orders; performing surgical assistant responsibilities, including handling tissue, providing exposure, using instruments, suturing and tying, and ensuring hemostasis; responding to the Emergency Room to manage and/or assist with trauma resuscitations; and instructing patients on discharge information, home care of wounds, medication use, diet, and other aspects of healthcare.
