Locum Physician (MD/DO) - Obstetrics and Gynecology in Georgia

A hospital is seeking an OB/GYN for locum tenens coverage. Northwest Georgia is home to beautiful waterfalls and walking trails While on assignment, visit Tallulah Gorge State Park, Anna Ruby Falls, or Brasstown Bald The position offers flexible scheduling, including (5) 24-hour shifts, (4) 12-hour shifts, or up to (7) 24-hour shifts if needed. Typical cases include 3-7 inductions and labors, 2-5 APU, and 10 postpartum patients daily. Responsibilities cover low- and high-risk OB, ultrasounds, amniocentesis, routine and complicated labor and delivery (including VBACs and C-sections), gynecology surgeries, office/minor procedures, and circumcisions. Average daily admissions are around five, with patient demographics being 100% OBGYN (99% adult, 1% rare pediatric cases). The role is supported by 24/7 in-house CNMs with physician backup as needed and hospitalists always on service. In-house anesthesia is also available 24/7.
