The
Sr. Project Manager
reports directly to the director or higher-level manager and is a key business manager charged with the responsibilities of the day-to-day management of one or more community-specific land development programs from planning through the completion of construction. This position will help set direction for the community, manage progress, forward key objectives, and is accountable for results.
Responsibilities:Perform management control functions including cost/budget controls, cash flow projections, activity/program scheduling and monitoring compliance and obligations of tract map conditions, exactions and objectives.Administer multi-discretionary consulting teams in preparation and processing of land use documents and related infrastructure design/improvement plans.Assist in jurisdictional agency and other "public" (e.g. City Council, special interest groups, etc.), liaison/processing or all levels of required entitlements-to-use, CEQA requirements, site development plans/documents and related merchant builder approvals.Assist in land acquisition and sale coordination of due diligence documentation and participate in builder/user administration, coordination and design review functions to ensure continuity from planning through completion.The Sr. Project Manager may be responsible for the management of one or more associates in the department.Perform all other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Min of 5 years' work experience with an emphasis in project planning, design and/or processing with a public agency; consulting engineering, planning or architecture firm; building or construction contracting firm or a land development firm requiredBachelor of Science or Arts degree preferred, High School Diploma or equivalent required.Proficient in Microsoft Word and ExcelMust have good interpersonal skills and be able to define needs, communicate objectives, negotiate commitments and otherwise influence the cooperative efforts of others, both within and beyond direct liens of personal authority, in achieving project objectivesMust have initiative and be able to achieve objectives with minimum supervisionMust be able to communicate effectively and concisely, both verbally and in writingMust have a problem-solving desire/orientation and be able to deal with complex problems in an efficient manner leading to management decisions and recommendationsMust have a valid driver's licenseInteract well with co-workersComply with and implement company policies and proceduresPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires the ability to work in excess of eight hours per day, operate a motor vehicle, read plans, climb stairs and ladders, walk on uneven surfaces, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry equipment that may be in excess of 25 pounds. Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator. May be required to operate a motor vehicle.

We reasonably expect the base compensation offered for this position to range from an annual salary of $99,503.76 - $150,000, subject to adjustment based on business-related factors such as employee qualifications, geographic pay differentials (e.g., cost of labor/living, etc.), and operational considerations.
