Job Description
Position Overview:
This position is responsible for providing plant startup and troubleshooting support for new PET preform tooling and molding systems. Working with internal functional resources and equipment OEM for these systems. The position is also responsible for collecting and maintaining setup and process tool records for new and existing preform systems as well as creating, maintaining and issuing internal plant visit reports.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:Take the lead roll-out, startup and qualification of new preform injection tooling in Amcor production plants.Be the key contact with plants for quality and productivity troubleshooting, system analysis, optimization and provide data for the internal CEAV process.Use Amcor proprietary process optimizing software to template new preform mold roll-outs in production plants.Participate in and provide design feedback in mold design project reviews. Present and collect necessary process and inspection data from internal and external stake holders. Compile required information to generate internal reports and email communication.Work with and resolve project related issues with tooling vendors.Work with Tooling Asset Specialist on the release of injection tooling to plants. Follow up and verify that orders ship complete and work with the plant on backordered components.Serve as a critical point source of knowledge to the plants and vendors for all molding system functionality, quality, and productivity issues.Train and develop Amcor PET injection process resources.Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related fieldMinimum 5 years of experience working with high cavitation injection tooling, preferably PET preform moldsProven ability to organize and manage large amounts of dataKnowledge of quality systems and understanding of SPC dataStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyDemonstrated ability to influence othersTravel 60%Competencies:
