16 LDRP roomsC-section Suite and PACU on L&D unit4 Bed Special Care Nursery**this position requires L&D and mother/baby experience**
·Closed Specialty Unit - We are very specialized nurses for our unit.
For this reason, we are not expected to float and cover other units outside of Family Center like other facilities may do.
·Support Staff - We are growing and adding support for our nurses including a preadmit nurse, discharge planner/case worker, maternity navigator, unit educator, and lactation.··Constantly Improving We are striving to be the best place to work and the best place to deliver a baby.
We research and put best practices in place setting the standard for all other hospitals in NC and in the US.oProcess Improvement projects with the State of NC and 56 other hospitals.§2021 Eat, Sleep, Console program implemented to support families with infants who may experience withdrawal symptoms.
(The first facility in this area to start it).§2022 We developed a Validated Screening Tool for all prenatal patients - now a part of EPIC is available across the US.§2023 Working on a Safe Sleep Calculator tool, expanding mental health options, and participating in wide-spread Narcan education for all patients by Nov 2023.§2024 Plan to participate in work around Care of the Late Preterm Infant and Sepsis in Obstetrical Care.
