A Japanese company seeks an Account Manager.
10 years of B to B sales experience and background related to Japanese culture is required.

Title : Account Manager
Classification : Exempt
Reports to : VP & General Manager
Location : New York, NY
Salary : 75-120K (DOE) plus bonus
Other : Travel is required. Needs driver's license and expert level English skills.
Products:
automotive decorative material products
Job Summary:
Maintains and increases sales of residential/commercial decorative material products in the United States and other emerging markets in the Americas through building relationships and superior customer service
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs all facets of sales activities including customer service of existing accounts, sales presentations, sample development, order solicitation, production scheduling, and after sale follow up.Communicates extensively with customers' Purchasing, Quality Control, R&D, Design, and Logistics people as well as the Tokyo sales office to provide effective products/services. Coordinates the entire process from pre-production, production, through to delivery of the products.Develops sales strategies to market products. Maintains existing customers by quality assurance and their satisfaction and develops relationships with new customersResearches industry design trends to lead the development of saleable new designs/colors.Researches new industry, prepares reports and identifies potential clients.Travels a) to see existing and potential customers and promote products, b) to attend trade shows to establish new contacts and market products.Writes sales reports, customer correspondence, and related business correspondence.Prepares quotations, contracts, and follows up with customers.Handle other tasks as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:
1) Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
2) At least 5 years of outside sales & marketing experience required. Sales experience for furniture industry is preferred.
3) Proven ability to develop sales and marketing strategies aggressively and efficiently.
4) Self-motivated, self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills.
5) Traveling and driving required. (No need to have own car.) Needs driver's license.
6) Basic knowledge of computer systems and applications
