Candidates should have a strong academic background, collaborate well with a team, and able to integrate feedback and take on increased responsibility. Associates work with senior attorneys representing employees in employment disputes, including wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and assist with all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents such as complaints, briefs, and related correspondence
- Participate in client interviews, strategy discussions, and depositions
- Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court appearances
- Work collaboratively with senior attorneys on case strategy and client management
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the California State Bar
- 0-2 years of litigation experience (plaintiff-side experience preferred)
- Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Passion for employment law and commitment to fighting for employee rights
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
