We seek a SoC NPT to support new product introduction (NPI) activities. You will demonstrate your in-depth understanding of the Semiconductor/Foundry business and the intricacies of the relationships between internal silicon design, process, packaging and productization (QA, TE, PE) teams to lead suppliers and enable the smooth ramp of high volume sophisticated SoC devices. In this role, we will drive decisions on demand creation, build priorities, capacity allocation, new technology adoption, pricing variance and bring to bear worldwide foundry capabilities to Apple’s advantage. We will also optimize supply chain performance by supervising metrics such as yield, lead time, cost, and quality.Description- Effectively collaborate with internal engineering/supply chain management teams on status, priorities, issue resolution and roadmaps.- Collaborate across Apple organizations, including packaging, EPM, silicon and system teams to deliver on new product development schedules and supply requirements.- Guide teams through the NPI phase from tape-out to ramp.- Develop effective demand forecast based on historical trends and demand patterns- Address demand related issues in timely and effective manner.- Project Manage all critical work including POR process, final test programs and operational reports to meet productization landmarks and volume requirements.- Rapidly synthesize and communicate findings to senior leaders and proactively identify and resolve potential supply issues that can affect product strategy.- Leverage commercial and technology agreements to assess and mitigate risks to the business.- Handle global supply chain disruptions in real time with the support of international teams on site if needed and on short notice.Minimum Qualifications3+ years relevant proven experience and bachelor’s degree in technical field or in business and supply chain managementExperience in supply chain and supplier managementPreferred QualificationsAble to travel internationally, sometimes with limited notice.Understanding of semiconductor foundry model, test and packaging technologies and lead time issues as well as trade-offs to optimize results.Ability to collaborate and build relationships with multi-functional engineering teams and partnersExcellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.Fabless silicon supply chain experience.Program Management, Supply Chain and Organizational Change expertise.In depth understanding of manufacturing flow and turn-around times for semiconductor devices (Fabrication, ATE, Test, Assembly).Factory management (Fab, OSAT) including capacity enablement, unblocking issues, negotiation of business outcomes and handle material schedule Experience in risk management and data analyticsPrior success in high volume silicon NPI.Pay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
