Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $1,810 per week

Certification Details BLS North Carolina State Licensure Job Details Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. Reporting and accountable to the Nurse Manager/Director, the Clinical Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting. Essential Duties include participating in identifying and meeting learning needs of self, attending education programs, using patient education materials, assessing readiness to learn of the patient/family/caregivers, assessing developmental level of patient, identifying expected patient outcomes, communicating relevant information to promote continuity of care, demonstrating competence in care of patients with complex problems, performing bedside point of care testing, utilizing healthcare organization and nursing standards, organizing and prioritizing care according to patient/family needs, and consulting with appropriate resources regarding patients with complex care issues. Leadership responsibilities include developing goals for professional growth, facilitating intra/interdepartmental collaboration, participating in performance improvement activities, using communication systems effectively, promoting cost-effective care, and maintaining a safe hospital environment. Patient Assessment and Planning duties entail synthesizing assessment data, anticipating discharge needs, developing relationships with families, collaborating on the plan of care, addressing cultural and ethnic issues in planning care, and demonstrating ability to prioritize tasks. Research responsibilities include reading applicable journals and bringing ideas and questions to the staff. Job Requirements Required Skills & Experience: One (1) year of nursing experience.
