Apple is seeking an exceptional Network Engineer to join their Global Network Services team, with a focus on Retail Store network infrastructure. This is a technical, hands-on role in a dynamic and fast paced environment. The successful candidate will have a mixture of technical know-how as well as an excellent network analysis fundamentals, robust troubleshooting skills and outstanding written and verbal communication ability.

Description

You will be responsible for growing and supporting Apple’s expanding retail network globally. They will need to excel in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task and not only lead their own projects, but also be able to provide day to day operational support. This person must be a collaborative teammate that will work across multi-functional groups and have the ability and willingness to mentor others and have a sound business approach for supporting our global footprint. We are looking for a Network Engineer to participate in projects and perform day to day support activities including, but not limited to: - Design network solutions to meet evolving business needs - Deploy WAN, wired LAN and Wi-Fi infrastructure for new and existing Retail Store locations - Diagnose and identify root causes of network issues - Maintain consistency (software, configuration, security) across the global fleet - Schedule and execute change requests - Coordinate work with peers and vendors to deploy and troubleshoot infrastructure - Work closely with cross functional teams in the development of networking standards to meet the business needs - Ensure operational excellence across our infrastructure - Ensure project documentation is updated and shared on a regular basis - Participate in the on-call rotation

Minimum Qualifications

Strong expertise in the field of Networking

Experience testing and provisioning of WAN circuits (Metro Ethernet, Dark Fiber, Transit)

Experience automating workflows using Ansible, Python or other infrastructure-as-code tools

Experience with standard Linux utilities (grep, sed, awk, sort, traceroute, tcpdump, etc)

Key Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

8+ years industry experience in the field of networking

Understanding of IPv6 and IPv4

Experience and knowledge of several of the following:

BGP and Internet Routing Policies

Cisco IOS-XE, JUNOS, Arista EOS or FortiOS

Juniper SRX or Fortinet Firewalls

Cisco Catalyst or Arista EOS switches

SD-WAN and VPN technologies

Experience leading training, presenting, mentoring peers
