The Assoc Data Analyst assists in development of visualizations and reporting to drive analytical insights for business partners. The individual will partner with teammates and others at GEHA to grow analytical maturity and solve business problems with reporting and analytics. The individual will have to have a strong desire to learn and drive quality outcomes.
SKILLS
Duties & Responsibilities
Partnering with business to gather requirements for analytical reporting and analysis.
Assist with reporting leveraging SQL, Excel, Python, and other data languages.
Assist with data visualizations and dashboard building utilizing BI tools.
Adhere to data standards and follow processes to drive business outcomes with elevated level of quality and accuracy.
Manage incidents according to SLAs to resolve issues.
Document development through Technical Design Documents and Reporting templates.
Adhere to Data Governance standards and ensure that all data is managed in accordance with HIPAA, departmental and corporate guidelines to safeguard privacy and confidentiality, applying appropriate techniques to mask and encrypt data when necessary.
Continuous learning through certification of analytical skills that drive towards completion of PL300 or equivalent.
Other Duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Requires a bachelor’s degree in healthcare, Business Administration, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related discipline. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Base knowledge of SQL and Relational databases.
Learning mindset with a focus towards healthcare.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Analytical mindset with problem solving abilities.
Experience with PowerBI or other applicable BI tools (Tableau, Cognos, MicroStrategy) a plus.
Preferred experience with healthcare, HEDIS, and/or managed care.
Work-at-home requirements
Must have the ability to provide a non-cellular High Speed Internet Service such as Fiber, DSL, or cable Modems for a home office.
A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 30x5 (30mpbs download x 5mpbs upload) is required.
Latency (ping) response time lower than 80 ms
Hotspots, satellite and wireless internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

The annual base salary range for this position is $56,274 - $79,326 USD.
