Description: The Production Manager is accountable for the Safety of our team and producing our products in the most efficient way possible adhering to the highest standards of Food quality. The Production Manager must be able to abide by PURIS' SOPs, SSOPs, and Quality Standards always. In addition, the Production Manager must adhere to and embody the PURIS Core Values:

Summary of Essential Job Functions:Accountable for Plant Efficient Production Output in a Safe People and Safe Food Environment reporting directly to the Plant ManagerCapable of utilizing Lean Principles to ensure efficient use of all resources of Manufacturing.Responsible for the Organization of > 30 Team Members of Front-Line Managers and TechniciansResponsible for Developing annual, monthly, and weekly production plans to align with the Business needsProvide Safety Leadership on the Floor in every activity by training and exampleParticipate in the Development of Improvement plans for Process efficiency and new product growthLMAD Production Operations; Lead, Manage, Hold Accountable and Develop the Team to align with Performance improvement growth.Manage coordination of weekly activities of the Maintenance Team with production, and resolve scheduling conflictsAccountable to develop and manage a Staffing Plan to support 24/7 OperationsAccountability Responsible for Managing the Standard Work Documentation and Training SystemsLead and Manage period Process CIP ( C lean

P lace) eventsProvides input to Engineering Team on planned project work and provides voice of production team to all strategic plant management activities that impact productionWith 24 hour operations, must be available to occasionally spend some time on other than regular shifts such as off shifts and weekends.Perform other tasks and projects as assignedRequirements:
Education and Experience:Engineering or Technical/Vocational Degree with demonstrable technical and analytical capability5+ Years of Process plant experience in a production environment (manager, in-plant engineer or senior level shift lead are ideal)Experience with operations safety leadership requiredDemonstrable experience in process improvement projects and methodologyPractical experience with food or similar plant operations, food safety requirements, wet and dry process CIP a Plus but not requiredPrefer experience with 24/7 operationDemonstrated Strong Problem-solving skills: (A3, Six Sigma, Kaizen etc.â )Experience in Lean Manufacturing a Plus but not requiredSkills and Capabilities:Competent verbal and written communicator; Capability of Speaking to a Group of PeopleGood judgement showing business acumen, decision making skills, intellectual and problem-solving skillsAbility to handle multiple initiatives at one timeBenefits:Enjoy competitive wages, opportunities for overtime premium pay, and comprehensive benefits starting on the 1st of the month following hire date.
