Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Architect to design, implement, and manage our organization's technology infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of IT systems, Networks, Identity, Artificial Intelligence, and cloud technologies and will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our Enterprise IT infrastructure. Driving innovation and ensuring alignment with Textron strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Architecture:

Develop and implement the technical vision and strategy for the enterprise infrastructure and maintain the enterprise architecture roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.

Identify and evaluate emerging technologies, particularly in AI and ML, that can significantly impact the business.

Define and implement architectural standards, principles, and guidelines to ensure consistency and alignment across the enterprise.

Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of infrastructure development efforts and recommend technologies that will increase cost-effectiveness and infrastructure flexibility.

AI and ML Integration:

Lead the integration of AI and ML technologies into company-wide applications and processes.

Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to design and implement AI/ML models that address business needs.

Ensure the scalability, security, and maintainability of AI/ML solutions.

Application Management:

Oversee the architecture and design of enterprise applications, ensuring they meet current and future business and security requirements.

Represent the Enterprise IT organization during the selection and implementation of enterprise and business unit software solutions.

Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new applications with existing systems.

Ensure that the design of hardware, operating systems, and software applications are integrated and aligned with the enterprise’s needs and requirements.

Assist with disaster recovery and business continuity planning, testing, and restoral.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Engage with business units and stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.

Provide guidance and support to technical teams, ensuring alignment with the enterprise architecture.

Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and accessible manner.

Be a consultant to management on technology and the advancing technology landscape, to include feedback and structure of teams, technology, and improvements to ensure support teams are ready for the future of technology adoption.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, , Minimum years’ experience in the IT field, 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure design and management of Enterprise services or a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field in technology with 5 years in the IT field, having experience in IT infrastructure design and management of Enterprise services.

Proven experience as an Architect or in a similar role, with a focus on, AI and ML understanding .

Strong understanding of NP&SI model, Identity and network architecture, cloud computing, and data center and cloud operations and technologies .

Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Openshift, or similar .

Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python .

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under high pressure .

Strong communication and presentation skills, both oral and written .

Relevant certifications in technology such as Cisco, VMware, Azure, or Microsoft are a plus .

Certifications in enterprise architecture (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) or AI/ML (e.g., TensorFlow, AWS Certified Machine Learning) are preferred .

Experience with SaaS platforms, big data technologies and data analytics .

Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools .

Experience in managing and leading indirect technical teams, local and remote .

Experience in consulting to management and building technical and non-technical business cases.

Skills and Competencies:

Technical Expertise: A deep understanding of technology and the ability to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in the field .

Business Acumen: Strong understanding of the organization’s goals, priorities, and overall strategy at the Business Unit and Enterprise level .

Communication: Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, to include outside vendors/suppliers .

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills .

Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously .

Work Environment:

Primary location: Fort Worth, Texas.

This position may require frequent travel .

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment .
