JOB SUMMARY

The Client Finance Manager will provide guidance and financial support to client account teams, monitor client budgets, forecast client revenue and report on client profitability. This position will also be responsible for supervising Jr. staff. Job responsibilities include reviewing/assisting in the creation of job proposals, budgets and client staffing plans; ensuring adherence to contract billing policies; assisting Jr. staff with summaries of monthly billing and reconciliations; and support Client Finance Director with financial analysis and reporting as required. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, financial analysis and/or accounting experience in an advertising or service industry environment strong Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency, a positive outlook and imagination and excellent oral and written communication skills. General accounting and/or financial analysis experience required as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Financial Reporting

Monitor client budgets, forecast client revenue and report on client profitability.

Internal & External Client Relations

Manage the client finances which includes in large part partnering with account teams for strategic and financial counseling.

Team Management & Development

Provide guidance and support to the staff and assist in training, development, mentoring and management of the team.

Administrative

Perform basic administrative duties involving data entry and effectively managing adhoc requests for assigned accounts.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES•The Client Finance Manager will proactively manage the client finances which includes in large part partnering with account teams for strategic and financial counseling. This finance role requires a lot of people skills and interaction with Clients and internal stakeholders.•Team with Account, Project Managers, and Finance team leads to ensure client profitability and adherence to company and client processes.•Assist Director of Client Finance to ensure all agency financial requirements are met including but not limited to the monthly closes, utilization/profitability report, special project reporting.•Maintain and uphold client compliance requirements per contract.•Bring consistency and financial discipline to the various processes, including staff plan, fee proposals and reconciliations. Continuously look to improve upon status quo in order to meet changing business needs.•Assist the Director of Client Finance with the training, development, mentoring and management of the Client Finance team. This position will be the day-to-day go to for the client finance teams.•Assist the Director of Client Finance with maintenance and implementation of finance processes (including Agency department trainings).•Will own a portfolio of client accounts from a finance perspective and manage several Finance Analysts/Business Managers.•Support the Finance Analysts/Client Business Managers in review and analysis of client profitability, WIP, billing and AR.•Oversee and ensure that all client fees and OOPs are billed accurately and timely.•Work with the Director of Client Finance to ensure that Client Finance becomes and is thought of as a partner to the rest of the agency, in particular with Account Management.•Identify opportunities for revenue and profit growth as well as identify areas of improvement.•Report monthly revenue variances to the Chief Financial Officer and review revenue forecasts.

Salary

$80,000 to $105,000 annually.
