Job Title: Radiology/Cardiology Technician Job Specialty: Interventional Radiology Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30); Day 4x10-Hour (09:00 - 19:30) Guaranteed Hours: N/A Experience: 1 year as Interventional Radiology Technician License: - Radiology Technologist License (specific to the state) Certifications: - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association (AHA) - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Must-Have: - 50 miles travel requirement for travelers - Specific charting experience preferred (Epic) Job Description: - Follow defined procedures to support cardiologists, radiologists, and registered nurses in the Interventional Radiology Lab. - Integrate education, technical competence, and patient interaction skills to ensure safe and precise treatment. - Monitor and assess patients attentively, gaining confidence and cooperation from patients and their support groups. - Communicate effectively with healthcare providers. - Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations to ensure privacy and safety. - May be responsible for mentoring and training students. - Perform tasks under the supervision of a Cardiologist. Additional Details: - No weekend requirement, but include rotating nights and weekend calls. - Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing. - Return staff policy requires a one-year gap to return as a traveler. - Orientation: 16 hours.
