The ideal candidate will join a vibrant and inclusive educational community and have a desire and ability to work with a diverse population. The Student Development Office encompasses a variety of departments, including Career Services, Counseling Services, Veterans and Military Services, Student Engagement, and the Dean of Students. The Director will serve as the primary leader for Student Development across the Framingham and Ashland campuses.
We seek an individual with excellent leadership, systems thinking, and interpersonal skills, along with a strong attention to detail necessary to oversee the diverse departments within Student Development. The successful candidate must demonstrate sound judgment and be capable of working both autonomously and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide administrative support for the day-to-day functions of the Student Development Office at the Framingham and Ashland campuses;
Oversee the process of subsidy support applications to address transportation and food insecurity;
Collaborate closely with the Associate Dean of Students in processing student complaints;
Consult with Student Development Dean's to refer students in crisis to the appropriate crisis responder (e.g., Counseling Services, Campus Police);
Meet with students seeking to withdraw from the college and those wishing to return after a medical leave of absence;
Supervise the College's Coordinator of Veteran Affairs;
Serve as a backup for evening coverage on the Framingham campus;
Serve as the coordinator of Student Development staffing in Framingham;
Serve as a member of the College's Behavioral Assessment Team, handling highly sensitive information pertaining to faculty, staff, and students;
Assist in the re-entry policy and suicide prevention protocol in Framingham and Ashland;
Provide outreach and advocacy for students of concern;
Consult on and participate in the development of administrative policies and procedures for the efficient operation of the Student Development Division;
Supervise administrative staff within the Student Development Office in Framingham and Ashland;
Maintain positive working relationships with faculty, staff, and students across the College;
Assist with Student Development-sponsored activities and programs in Framingham and Ashland;
Help distribute food and hygiene products to students experiencing food and hygiene insecurity;
Problem-solve in a fast-paced work environment;
Attend staff meetings;
Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and guests;
Evening and weekend work may be required;
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Master's Degree and at least five years of related work experience;
Experience supervising staff;
Respect and understanding of people with diverse backgrounds, abilities, and needs;
Experience using platforms like PeopleSoft and other customer relationship management systems;
Highly organized and proactive team player;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to create alternative solutions to problems;
Bilingual in Spanish, Portuguese or Creole.

Salary Range:
