Human Resources Generalist
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible to assist the HR team with a variety of duties including benefits and leave administration, employee assistance, and special assignments as needed. This position requires strong analytical skills, detail orientation, and a candidate who is process and data driven.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain Human Resource Information System (HRIS) records and ensure regulatory compliance.
Coordinate benefits processing, including, enrollments, COBRA, and all benefit changes.
Prepare monthly benefits and Leave of Absence report for HR Manager review.
Distribute materials for benefits orientations and open enrollment and provide customer service support to employees to enhance understanding of the company’s benefits package.
Enforce the completion and thoroughness of all necessary requirements & documentations relating to the employees desired Leave of Absence.
Process all garnishment deductions and respond to Unemployment Insurance claims
Maintain complete confidentiality of all HR-related information
Process termination process for eligible employees
Enter compliance information into software system HCHB and track ongoing compliance via reporting tools.
Assist the department in carrying out various human resource programs and procedures for all company employees as needed.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred
Proven experience as an HR assistant, staff assistant or relevant human resources/administrative position
Hands-on experience with an HRIS or HRMS system (Empeon or HHA Exchange a plus)
Basic knowledge of labor laws a plus
Excellent organizational skills
Strong communications skills
Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
Must be able to follow detailed oral and written instructions
Completes work, and documentation with accuracy and within agency time frames.
Highly motivated and can work without direct supervision
Must be able to keep & protect confidential information
Must be able to work overtime as needed
