Position: Director, Global Business Development

Salary: $120,000-150,000 plus commission

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to drive new business initiatives for Omni Logistics & Forward Air. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and securing profitable business opportunities by promoting our brand and leveraging synergies across the marketplace. You will actively engage with key prospects, crafting and presenting best-in-class solutions to meet their needs. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with North America and Global Sales, Operations, Finance, and other teams to develop tailored solutions and capitalize on growth opportunities. Additionally, you will manage an active pipeline through weekly CRM (Salesforce) updates, ensuring proper onboarding of new customers to guarantee a seamless transition and strong, ongoing relationships.

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

Develop a clear strategy around forecasting and revenue goals.

Engage and work with teams throughout the organization to drive deliverables.

Expand our client base in North America and Globally working collaboratively to secure new business.

Develop relationships and collaborate with Omni Domestic and Forward Air trucking colleagues to support cross-functional customer opportunities.

Provide professional communication (written & oral) with both internal and external customers.

Identify potential areas and creative opportunities for growth.

Weekly CRM (Salesforce) reporting and maintain an active pipeline of new business.

Ensure proper onboarding of new customers.

Develop and maintain effective and productive relationships with staff and customers.

Manage your aging and cash collection as applicable.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial freight forwarding (International Air & Ocean) sales.

Superior prospecting skills.

Existing client relationships.

Leadership capabilities managing an active portfolio and knowledge of operational protocols.

Multi-tasking and time management skills.

Experience with developing Air and Ocean Global solutions.

Ability to organize and prioritize.

Solution-based selling skills.

Must be able to thrive in a non-micromanagement environment.

Skills:

Entrepreneurial spirit accompanied by a competitive and confident personality.

The ideal candidate will possess a “can do” attitude with a “will do” work ethic.

Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with AS400 operating systems is a plus.

Customer Service/Sales experience is a plus.
