Job Description
BAE Systems is offering a unique opportunity for the right candidate to work in the NATO SEASPARROW Project Office (NSPO) in Arlington, VA, which is the largest Interantional Cooperative Program. The selected candidate will be required to:Implement strategies and procedures for export control, releasability and disclosure support, ensuring compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), National Disclosure Policy (NDP), Third Party Transfers (TPTs), to facilitate transfer of technical data within the NATO SEASPARROW Consortium.Manage the application and maintenance of export DSP-5 licenses, Technical Transfer Agreements (TAA), Manufacturing licenses Agreements (MLA) and exemptions/exceptions for IWS-12 in relation to ESSM. Create licenses and agreements for BAE Systems, whenever required.Review and recommend releasability of Distro D documents to the Consortium.Interface with primary equipment manufacturers and national representatives from the US, several European Countries and Australia.Coordinate with engineering, and program management teams to ensure that export control considerations are integrated into product development and program execution.Serve a subject matter expert in support of NSPO initiatives regarding NDP/TTSARB/future acquisition programs and Navy policy changes in support of missile/system upgrade programs.Provide expert guidance and training to internal teams on export control regulations and releasability processes.Provide for the proper disclosure of program information to foreign third-party customers.Interface with DoS disclosure personnel, Navy IPO and NAVSEA Security personnel, other government activities, and prime/subcontractor senior personnel supporting program disclosure issues.Monitor and analyze changes in export control regulations and assess their impact on Consortium projects and products.Other duties as assigned.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in international relations, Engineering, Law, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years experience in export control and releasability.In-depth knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and other relevant U.S. and international export control regulations.Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively interact with government officials and regulatory agencies, internal and external stakeholders and third parties.Selected applicant must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
5 years of experience in export control and releasability, specifically within the defense sector.Demonstrated experience with international licensing in a major DoD Acquisition Program Office.In depth level of understanding of Nation Disclosure Policy process.Previous experience working in an international environment like the NATO SEASPARROW Project Office (NSPO)
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $78760 - $133870
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
