Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to join our team in Ft. Meade, Maryland. This position is part of a team that provides engineering and Information Technology services to provision, manage, sustain, innovate, modernize, refresh, reengineer, and secure the Nuclear Command and Control (NC2) and Non-NC2 cryptographic production infrastructure.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Performing or reviewing technical security assessments

Validating and verifying system security requirements

Designing, developing, implementing and/or integrating Information Assurance and security system components

Supporting the building of security architectures

Enforcing the design and implementation of trusted relations among external systems and architectures

Assessing and mitigating system security threats/risks

Contributing to the security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, certification, and awareness activities

Review certification and accreditation (C&A) documents

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 14 years of experience or 18 years of total experience

Experience as a security engineering representative on engineering teams for the design, development, implementation or integration of secure networking, computing, and enclave environments

Experience as the primary security engineering or security officer representative

Knowledge of IA policy, procedures, and workforce structure in designing, developing, and implementing secure networking, computing, and enclave environments

Experience in security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management

Experience in determining system-level solutions resolving security requirements.

CISSP Certification is required (DoD 8570.01-M compliance with IASAELevel 2)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting security authorization activities in compliance with customer Information System Certification and Accreditation Process (NISCAP) and DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF), the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, and customer business processes for security engineering

Security Clearance Requirements:

Must have a current/active TS/SCI with polygraph.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
