Learn more at www.ipgmediabrands.com.Position OverviewThe Director, Video Partnerships oversees the Partnerships strategy, go to market approach and team for all National TV linear offerings as well as alternative video including in-cinema. The Director, Video Partnerships is the senior client team specialist role at Initiative, requiring a strong leader with proven experience managing multiple client teams, juggling multiple high-level projects at one time, researching and justifying partner selection, and developing and negotiating multi-faceted media and marketing partnerships. Directors must think strategically and work collaboratively with other Partnerships disciplines and with client team leaders in Client Advice, Strategy, Communications Design and Analytics to create Partner recommendations that deliver on client strategic goals and business objectives.ResponsibilitiesDirect communication with clients for all marketplace intelligence, negotiation and partnership needs and take ultimate accountability for team's day-to-day responsibilitiesMaintain, develop and grow relationships with appropriate client level contactsCollaboration with Strategy, Analytics and Client Advice teams to ensure alignment with and delivery against client KPI'sOversee partnership plan development recommendation and implementation, incorporating necessary and appropriate rationale and research for client buy-inBring forward new ideas and opportunities to move your client's business forwardOversee the development of go to market strategy, recommendations and POVsManage the execution of all media negotiations for all National TV linear and alternative video including cinema and place-based channelsPartner selection recommendation and justification designed to deliver on client KPI's using the most sophisticated use of data and analytics, via multi-faceted, strategic partnerships, while delivering maximum strategic value and efficiencyMaintain and grow key marketplace relationships, including senior-level media owner and technology platform contactsSupport and facilitate all Initiative and IPG MB new business, revenue and industry initiatives, including agency negotiations
Required Skills and ExperienceNational broadcast media buying experience required with a demonstrated solid technical and negotiating skillsUnderstanding of the principles of marketing and advertising, as well as an understanding of media concepts and terms, creative and budget requirementsSolid understanding of media data sources in terms of what is measured, the method, and information reportedFluent in mathematical concepts with an ability to translate data into well-articulated ideas; superior analytical abilities and quantitative skillsSolid understanding of research toolsKnowledge of buying, planning, client presentation and reportingTechnical proficiency, particularly with media systems and MS Excel, Word, and PowerPointInitiative does not require candidates to have a college degree
