Join us.About Creation Platform teamTikTok Creation Platform team is responsible for handling videos and photos uploaded by more than 1 billion TikTok users. The creation platform orchestrates processes and operations around the media including transcoding and moderation, supports new TikTok features like TikTok Now / Photo Mode / long video and AIGC, and ultimately drives the evolution of both TikTok infrastructures and app to bring more joy to TikTok users.ResponsibilitiesHandle and guide systems designs within the scope of the broader area, write product or system development code to solve ambiguous problems, and directly support cross-functional teams like PM.Review code developed by other engineers and oversee the execution process of the team, provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, accuracy, testability, reliability, and efficiency) are being applied.Set and communicate team priorities that support the broader organization's goals. Align strategy, processes, and decision-making across teams.Set clear expectations with individuals based on their level and role and aligned to the broader organization's goals. Meet regularly with individuals to discuss performance and development and provide feedback and coaching.Develop the mid-term technical vision and roadmap within the scope of your (often multiple) team(s). Evolve the roadmap to meet anticipated future requirements and infrastructure needs.QualificationsBS/MS Degree in Computer Science or related major, with 5+ years working experience.3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing strategic projects, with 1.5+ years of experience in people management, supervision/team leadership role.Experienced in building backend services for large-scale consumer-facing applications or good understanding of business.Deep understanding of computer architectures, data structures, and algorithms.Have good team communication and collaboration skills.Responsible, self-motivated, and have a growth mindset.TikTok is committed to creating an inclusive space where employees are valued for their skills, experiences, and unique perspectives. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and location.
