Business Analyst – Local GovtLocation: Edison, NJTerm: PermanentXDuce-XPS serves Municipalities, Counties and Regional Agencies mainly in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern US, providing reliable and scalable IT solutions. We have a proven track record of building & delivering robust IT solutions to Automate Public Policy Planning and Budgeting, Local Govt/ Municipal processes and Administration, digitalization of social programs for Housing, Economic, and Community development, Public health, Transportation, Education, Child care, Climate, Citizen Benefits, Welfare Programs, Taxation and Emergency ServicesWe are currently seeking Business Analyst with proven experience in the above-mentioned area & sincere interest in working for local government and in public services.Responsibilities:Interact with key stakeholders from various Municipal Departments to understand and document their business needs (BRDs)Analyze and compose presentation documents on various business processes and/or dataWork with IT teams to prepare System Requirement Specifications for IT implementationsProviding recommendations to the department, solution architect, and pre-sales team.Ensure that the requirements are consistent with the client's business needs and goals and that the software design meets user expectations.Develop and maintain solution documentation, including workflows, use cases, user guides, and training materials.Help the project manager and technical teams to prioritize tasks for the implementation team.Outline the development's direction and assign areas of responsibilityRequirements:10 to 15 years of IT systems implementation experience with recent 5-7 years experience in local government including Municipalities, Counties and Regional AgenciesSincere interest in working for local government and in public servicesThorough knowledge of Public Policy and Processes in various areas including but not limited to: Public Policy Planning and Budgeting, Local Govt/ Municipal processes and Administration, digitalization of Social programs for Housing, Economic, and Community development, Public health, Transportation, Education, Child care, Climate, Citizen Benefits, Welfare Programs, Taxation and Emergency ServicesResourceful problem-solver who seeks out answers to complex questions proactivelyExcellent attention to detail and well organizedStrong and resourceful research skillsStrong Analytical ability to Query, process and Analyze the dataExcellent command on PowerPoint and BPM toolsHands-on experience in defect tracking tools such as JIRA and Project Management tools (e.g. MS Projects)Good understanding of Govt Regulatory and Compliance issues and ability to navigate the sameDegree in Public Policy, Economics or a subject related to Social Services with experience in budgetary planning/management, financial analysis, public policy analysis or a related field
