The ideal candidate has MODEM design understanding and/or experience, some understanding of RF impairments, and good signal-processing coding skills.This individual will need to be able to work independently, deliver complete system solutions from concept to fully tested and demonstrable implementation. This individual will need to have good communication skills and be able to participate and contribute to standards activities. This individual will also need to lead technical efforts and interface with other teams for a complete system solution.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Systems Engineering or related work experience.OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.Preferred Qualifications:Master's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.2+ years of 4G/5G/6G systems and associated cellular standards (e.g., 3GPP NR, LTE, LTE, 3G).2+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization.1+ year of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Sr. Staff level and above).Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Applies Systems knowledge and experience to research, design, develop, simulate, and/or validate systems-level software, hardware, architecture, algorithms, and solutions while ensuring system-level requirements and standards are met.Performs functional analysis to drive requirements and specifications and to define and align with standards for hardware and software.Develops and analyzes system level design including requirements, interface definition, functional/performance definition, and implementation of a new system or modification of an existing system.Collaborates with own team and other teams to complete project work, including implementing and testing features and verifying the accuracy of systems.Develops new and innovative ideas (e.g. IDFs) for a product or feature area.Drives triage of problems at the system level to determine root cause and presents results of testing and debugging to team members.Level of Responsibility:Works under supervision.Decision-making may affect work beyond immediate work group.Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey information. May require basic negotiation, influence, tact, etc.Has a moderate amount of influence over key organizational decisions (e.g., is consulted by senior leadership to make key decisions).Tasks require multiple steps which can be performed in various orders; some planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively.
