Embedded Software Automation TEST Engineer

duties include writing scripts and creating automation environments for repeated tests. Using automation tools/frameworks, you will design, test and deploy effective test automation solutions. Automating as much of the testing effort as possible with minimum code set is the goal. You will be part of a dynamic team and utilize a variety of technologies to solve Ecolab's most advanced IoT problems. What You Will Do:

Lead, implement, and maintain automation framework, test tool and automation scripts, developing mocks/POC's.Consume software requirements and specifications for testability. Create unit, integration, functional test cases for software applications as well as firmware.Increase test case automation for the existing test suites.Create software verification test plans for the features being delivered and defects being fixed per testing cycle.Define the appropriate level of regression testing required in each round of testing.Create test plans and test cases.Attend Team Agile meetings and provide reports/updates on assigned tasks: Daily Stand up, Sprint Planning, Sprint Demo, Backlog refinements, and retrospectives.Work with development team members and product owners to ensure testing coverage of assigned features/requirements.Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or higher in a technical discipline, preferably software related (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar)5+ years' experience with modern Q/A methodologies3+ years of experience in Automated Testing using a development framework (Non-Selenium)3+ years of C# experience3+ years of Python experienceExperience in white-box testing.Linux command line experienceStrong documentation and organizational skills, excellent verbal, and written communication skillsAbility to work in a rapidly changing environment.Strong collaboration skillsWorks independently or well with a teamImmigration Sponsorship not available for this role.Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years' experience developing or testing embedded software applications.Experience with JavaScriptFamiliarity with Jenkins & CucumberFamiliarity with serial communication protocols (CANbus, Modbus)Testing experience with Firmware/Embedded systemsTesting experience in ARM based microcontrollers, such as ST Micro, NXP, or Silicon Labs EFM.Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologiesExperience with Azure DevOps
