JOB SUMMARY
The Healthcare System Chief Quality Officer (CQO) is responsible for the overall strategic direction, leadership, and operational management of quality improvement and patient safety initiatives across the healthcare system. This role demands deep expertise in data analytics to drive evidence-based decisions and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines.
Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission, and vision of the organization.
Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with clinical quality management and improvement concepts, techniques, processes, and outcome measures.
Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time.
Knowledge of and/or experience with regulatory requirements for the delivery of health care services.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including staff development, mentoring, and coaching.
Ability to successfully navigate a highly complex and matrixed organizational structure.
Comprehensive understanding of quality and patient satisfaction specifications and methodology.
Industry knowledge of both state and federal regulations surrounding quality.
WORKING CONDITIONS
General environment: Works in a well-lighted, air-conditioned area, with moderate noise levels.
May be required to change from one task to another of different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.
Long-distance or air travel as needed - not to exceed 10% travel.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration (Required).
Advanced degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field (Preferred).
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
10 years of healthcare quality improvement and patient safety (Required).
Proven track record in leading quality initiatives in a large healthcare system (Required).
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURES
Not Applicable - No Certification and Licensure Requirements Required or Preferred.
