ExxonMobil's state-of-the-art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses and their associated service groups. The facility opened in 2014 and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors. Lead M&A projects for Low Carbon Solutions business, including evaluation of target acquisitions, economic and competitive analysis, conduct due diligence and develop business cases to support successful project execution. Collaborate with internal and external teams to lead deals through M&A process. This is an office-based position located at the ExxonMobil Campus in Spring, Texas. What you will do
Evaluate M&A targets through economic analysis, business case development, due diligence, market research and insights. Collaborate with cross functional internal/external teams- commercial, business development teams, I-banks, PE and others on M&A, JVs & development projects. Integrate profitability analysis expertise / skills with commercial knowledge, business experience, technical and industry knowledge. Market research, company analysis, financial & credit analysis of target acquisitions. Conduct value chain analysis in support of market studies as needed. Ensures consistency of approach, accuracy of findings, objectivity, completeness of approach and corporate general interest focus when conducting analyses, and ensure applicable cross functional engagement. Independently apply key business analysis and M&A processes and facilitate internal discussions and provide detailed analysis and commentary to stakeholders as needed. Mentor less-experienced employees and promote cross functional collaboration. Exhibit deep curiosity, demonstrating strategic thinking to drive long term growth. About You
Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering, financial, or business discipline, MBA preferred. Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Mergers & Acquisitions transactions. Minimum of 10-15 total years’ experience in M&A, financial analysis, strategy, commercial and/or business development roles in Energy. Deep familiarity with investment evaluation, Mergers & Acquisitions processes, due diligence, and project financial modeling. Strong business acumen, financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications/ Experience Strong communication, coordination, and collaboration skills with internal and external cross functional teams. Experience and demonstrated interest in energy transition business areas. Ability to navigate ambiguous situations and thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
