Our Civil Practice Area is seeking a Senior Project Manager for the Civil Transit Sector. The ideal candidate will have experience in the Civil/Transportation industry, with specific expertise in Rail and Transit projects, and will provide project management and technical expertise in the Civil design of Transit Infrastructure, including BRT, LRT, subway, transit stations and facilities, GO Transit corridors, etc.

In this role, your duties and responsibilities will include:

Lead the civil design of transit infrastructure projects, including horizontal and vertical transit alignments, roadways, municipal services, utilities, SWM, etc.Provide technical expertise in transit engineering, including reviewing and approving design plans and specifications.Act as a Senior Project Manager overseeing budgets, schedules, risk management, and project reporting.Proactively identify and manage project risks and issues, and take corrective action as needed.Drive continuous improvement in project management practices and processes.Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure that the design meets their requirements and expectations.Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and other project team members to ensure project success and high-quality project deliverables within schedule and budget.Manage a team of engineers and other professionals to ensure the successful completion of project objectives.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to intermediate and junior staff to help them grow in their roles.Mentor and train staff with respect to business development, project management, design supervision, tools and software, modelling, client relations, etc.Act as an ambassador of LEA in promoting our services to both current and potential clients.Lead, advise and engage in the preparation of Proposals, Expressions of Interest and other marketing material if needed for the pursuits of various projects.Develop and maintain client relationships and pursue new business opportunities.Continuously grow professional skills and knowledge through training sessions, seminars, workshops, and involvement in professional associations to stay updated on the latest trends, software, and technology.Managing other related assignments within the scope of the Civil practice area.

The qualifications you need:

Bachelor of Civil Engineering with 10 or more years of relevant experience in the delivery of rail and Transit projects.Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).Strong technical skills in civil/municipal design of transit infrastructure, including BRT, LRT, subway, transit stations, GO Transit corridors, etc.Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of clients and stakeholders, such as Metrolinx, TTC and YRRTC.Extensive knowledge of design, construction processes and permit applications for the rail and transit projects.Experience in managing large-scale transit and infrastructure projects is highly desirable.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead and mentor a project delivery team.Project delivery under various alternative delivery models such as (DB, P3, PDB).PMP certification is an asset.
