Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Application Owner to oversee the implementation, integration, and management of a SaaS solution. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the solution aligns with business objectives, drives efficiency, and meets the operational needs of our land management operations. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of SaaS applications, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and vendors.
Essential Responsibilities
Solution Implementation and Integration:
Coordinate with internal IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to define requirements, configure the solution, and perform data migration.Ensure seamless integration of the SaaS solution with other enterprise systems, such as GIS, ERP, and CRM platforms.
Application Management and Optimization:
Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for the SaaS application.Monitor application performance, usage, and functionality to ensure it meets business requirements and delivers value.Identify opportunities for optimization and enhancements, working with vendors and internal teams to implement improvements.
Stakeholder Collaboration and Support:
Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, understanding their needs and ensuring the application supports their objectives.Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring they are proficient in using the application and understand its features and benefits.Facilitate regular meetings with stakeholders to gather feedback, address issues, and ensure alignment on goals and priorities.
Vendor Management:
Manage the relationship with Solutions, ensuring they deliver on their commitments and provide high-quality support.Coordinate with the vendor for application updates, enhancements, and issue resolution.Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance, ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure the application complies with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.Implement and maintain security controls to protect data integrity and confidentiality.Develop and enforce policies and procedures for application usage, data management, and access control.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated on the latest features, updates, and best practices for the Irth Solutions SaaS application.Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of land management operations.Lead initiatives to adopt new technologies and methodologies that drive innovation within the land management function.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, Land Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience. A Master’s degree is preferred. Relevant certifications in project management or application management (e.g., PMP, ITIL) are preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 8 years of experience in application management, project management, or a related field, with a focus on SaaS solutions. Proven track record of successfully managing and optimizing enterprise SaaS applications in a large or complex organization, preferably in land management or the energy sector.
Technical Expertise:
Strong understanding of SaaS application architecture, configuration, and integration.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a strategic mindset.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.Experience with vendor management, contract negotiation, and performance management.Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
