Electrical Assembler

Position Overview:
The Electrical Assembler will support our Production Department by assembling electrical and electronic components, sub-assemblies, systems, and controllers for company manufactured products.
Responsibilities Include:
Read project drawings, specifications, work orders, and procedures
Assemble electrical or electronic systems and support structures
Position, align, and install subassemblies, wiring, and components such as transformers, inverters, PLCs, and relays on enclosures and sub panels according to layout and wiring diagrams
Route, secure, interconnect and terminate wiring of equipment mounted devices to control and remote enclosures
Inspect and test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in wiring installations
Use testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, digital multimeters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes to ensure proper equipment operation
Position, align, and adjust components for proper fit & function
Provide troubleshooting assistance and perform electrical repairs or adjustments as necessary
Assist engineering by making recommendations for design considerations as it pertains to equipment configuration
Maintain accurate records of labor hours and materials used
Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned
Requirements:
Minimum 2-4 years' experience in the electrical field in a custom and/or original equipment manufacturing environment
Ability to read and interpret drawings and electrical schematics
Must possess a strong electrical and mechanical skill set
Ability to use basic hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, drills, taps, screwdrivers, hammers, etc.
Working knowledge of 120, 240, 480VAC as well as 24VDC control systems
Working knowledge of NEC and UL 508a wiring practices
Must possess strong attention to detail and a desire to produce quality work
A self-propelled attitude that embraces responsibility
PLC knowledge, programming, and troubleshooting knowledge a plus
Physical Requirements:
Must have good vision and dexterity
Must be able to sit throughout the day for extended periods of time
Must be able to work with small components
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
