YesPosition Summary:
The Director of Development is responsible for overseeing the financial and resource development efforts including major gifts, individual giving, fundraising events, and grant development, submission and compliance. This position is responsible for the long-term development of strategies set by the VP of Financial Development to further the overall fundraising goals of NewView Oklahoma.Essential duties and responsibilities(3-5 core functions representing 80% of time spent):Work in collaboration with VP of Development and Development team to develop and manage the annual fundraising plan and budget for respective region. Responsible for the development of fundraising strategies for restricted and unrestricted gifts in support of programs, operations and annual fundraising events.Work with the team to implement a plan of action for cultivating and soliciting current and potential donors in and around Eastern Oklahoma to increase contributions to NVO.Work with the team to develop and implement a consistent, strong team approach for all development efforts statewide and specifically Eastern Oklahoma.Serve as liaison and coordinator for all United Way activities, tours, and programs in Eastern Oklahoma region.Develop and implement a consistent presentation for all NVO tours.Coordinate, manage and oversee annual fundraising luncheons in Tulsa regionCoordinate, manage and oversee database management for tracking gifts, pledge reminders, gift acknowledgements and maintain accurate and consistent donor records.Work with the team to develop, implement, and maintain reporting mechanisms to monitor income, provide analysis of status of annual goals and project funding needs as well as grant compliance reports and project status updates.Work as a member to the grant team to develop and coordinate individual, corporate and foundation grant proposal development and submission process to ensure proposals, reports and other documents are consistent, accurate and submitted on schedule.Work with the marketing department to develop marketing materials related to all fundraising initiatives.Represent the development office at weekly staff meetings and provide updates on all development efforts in OKC and Tulsa.
Must wear all protective equipment required by department.Must follow all company policies and procedures including departmental safety policies.Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications (Minimum education, experience, training, licensure, certification):Bachelor's degree in non-profit management, communications, or another related field preferred.Experience working in HubSpot CRM preferred.Experience working closely with fund raising and sales organizations.5 years of professional fundraising experience.Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization comfortably and effectively manage and provide leadership to the teamAbility to manage multiple projects with varying priorities at one time - delivering results on time and under budget.
