Billboard: Shortform Content Director

Billboard is seeking a shortform content director in New York or Los Angeles to lead its social-first content strategy across Billboard's social channels. The shortform content director will report to Billboard's chief brand officer and work in close partnership with Billboard's social director to grow and engage Billboard's social audience across platforms with social-only content, shortform video and coverage of live events, from award shows to sporting events to festivals to conferences.
Responsibilities:
Lead on-platform short form video content strategy to Billboard social channels in partnership with Social Director
Sharpen Billboard voice and look/feel across social channels in partnership with Creative Director
Develop and execute on recurring social franchises for Billboard handles outside of standard article and video amplification
Execute and assign live coverage of key events and tours for Billboard social channels
Devise and execute social content rollout for key Billboard tentpoles annually in partnership with Social Director
Partner with genre leads to develop and execute social-first content plans to support genre handles including Billboard Hip-Hop, Billboard Dance, Billboard Charts
Create monthly analytics report utilizing in house metrics dashboard, present insights and trends to senior leadership, tracking monetization and audience growth
Requirements:
Passionate about music and a pop culture junkie
Familiar with every major and emerging social media platform and the unique ways that music fans engage on each
Experienced at growing audience and monetizing social video
Experienced at shooting and editing shortform video
Talented at writing sharp, snappy and compelling social copy under tight deadline
A natural trendspotter
Comfortable engaging social followers in fruitful conversations
Have 5+ years working in fast-paced digital news organization
Organized and data-obsessed
Salary range: $90K-$110K

As PMC values in-person collaboration and team cohesion, employees work onsite 4 days a week and 1 day remotely with a focus on maintaining a vibrant and inclusive culture.
