Aerospace Director of Strategic Accounts

Salary Range:

$140,000 - $160,000

Mayday Manufacturing is the leading producer of close tolerance aerospace bushings and other precision build to print components. We are looking for a Director of Strategic Accounts who has strong communication skills and can articulate the value that Mayday brings to our customers with world-class quality and on-time delivery. This position is for a strategic thinking individual with a passion for aerospace who is working to position Mayday for continued growth and success in the aviation industry. The ideal candidate will seek to understand and identify customer needs by demonstrating confidence in our ability to meet customer requirements, leading with our vertically integrated capabilities coupled with exceptional on-time delivery and quality. Our company supports your growth through developmental opportunities and this position could lead to a VP-level position in our company.

Position Overview:

The Director of Strategic Accounts will provide strategic sales leadership by working with the management team to establish and implement long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policies. The sales and estimating teams will report to this position to drive successful sales growth for the business. The position reports to the company President and serves as a member of the senior staff in managing the organization.

Mayday serves a global aerospace customer base and both domestic and international travel is required. You will be the face of Mayday Manufacturing leading our customer engagement, sales, and services for our growing company serving an exciting industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage the outside and inside sales teams

Direct sales management of key accounts

Develop credibility by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends to assist senior executives in analyzing future organizational goals and objectives

Serve as a strategic partner and participate in the development of the organization's business plan, risk management, and financial forecasting

Competencies:

Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years' experience as a successful business leader with business acumen and the proven ability to manage organizational developments and achieve sales goals

A passion for the aerospace industry

Ability to think strategically while considering new perspectives

Strong business presence to represent the company to an international customer base

Possess strong mental agility and excellent relationship-building skills

A track record as a proactive advocate for an organization

Strong working knowledge of business practices, processes, and environments

Excellent articulation skills with a proven ability to communicate with individuals within all levels of an organization.

Proven experience recruiting, developing, motivating, and retaining a strong and diverse staff in a team-oriented environment.

Domestic and International travel, 25-50%

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Business Management/Administration or Technical field

Ten (10) years of aerospace sales experience

Five (5) years of sales leadership or experience

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

Full time, 40 or more hours per week

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Responsible for the success of the Sales Team

Travel Requirements:

Domestic and International travel, 25-50%
