AWS Industry Product Marketing is responsible for developing crisp, highly differentiated, and compelling industry-specific positioning and messaging for AWS and its services. We tell AWS’s most important and interesting stories to educate customers about what is possible when you build on AWS.As a product marketing manager for the Retail & Consumer Goods industry, you will have the opportunity to define and drive the marketing and positioning strategy for solutions and services that help organizations accelerate cloud transformation. You will create compelling content to help customers understand service use cases and AWS for Retail & Consumer Goods value propositions, and build the right marketing programs to drive customer engagement and service adoption. You will get to work on a new and rapidly growing business and have a big impact every day.The ideal candidate has a passion for technology services and how they can be used to create business outcomes in the retail and consumer goods vertical, the ability to transform complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand messaging and materials, and experience building and improving scalable mechanisms to deliver results. A proven track record of excelling in a data-driven product marketing role is essential, and retail and consumer goods industry subject-matter expertise desired but not required.This role is based in Seattle (WA). Relocation to Seattle only from within the US.Key job responsibilities
Lead and execute the development of messaging, positioning, marketing content, and go-to-market strategies for AWS for Retail & Consumer Goods, its solution areas, as well as purpose-built services and solutions.Work effectively across AWS with groups such as engineering, digital marketing, integrated marketing, field marketing, partner marketing, sales, business development, public relations, analyst relations, and evangelists to shape the industry vision, prioritize solutions, and achieve our joint business goals.Craft, execute, and refine marketing plans and leverage channels to engage key audiences, reach our customers, and help grow their understanding and usage of AWS services.Develop, and support keynotes at AWS and industry conferences and trade-shows, positioning AWS as the leading cloud provider for the Retail & Consumer Goods industry.Work at both the strategic and tactical level to champion bold and creative ideas.Ability to travel both domestic and international to meet with customers and internal stakeholders (10-15% annually).About the team
