About the Job

We're seeking a well-rounded Cloud/ Platform Engineer to design the platform that will enable IGIU’s product portfolio to quickly uptake OCI AI capabilities, with a focus on Generative AI, to make our products smarter, more efficient and a joy to use. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including application product managers, software engineers, data scientists, data engineers, and user experience designers. Our new platform will be built directly on OCI based on cloud native principles. We build to scale globally, leveraging state-of-the-art tooling, with zero downtime.

You will be responsible for deploying OCI AI services with a deep focus on architecture, production operations, performance management, deployment and release engineering. You will work with multiple cross-functional teams helping deliver new and outstanding experiences to our stakeholders while ensuring reliability and performance.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Make Happen

Design, provision, deploy and performance test OCI AI services to serve as the AI foundation for the IGIU

You’ll contribute to ideas for how to architect our platform for scale.

Build relationships with OCI teams to learn about the latest OCI services and advocate for features requests to support our team’s needs

Operate and perform maintenance to cloud services running within the region.

Take ownership of the implementation and production operations of a wide array of core system platform solutions

Design and implement automation, self-healing, and real-time monitoring to production systems

Ensure thorough documentation of incidents through company-standard reporting methods.

Stay informed of cloud infrastructure stacks

About You:

You are comfortable working at all levels of the technical stack.

Solid experience with Linux.

Hands-on experience developing services on a public cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud, Google Cloud) and knowledge of cloud computing architecture

Development skills utilizing Terraform, Python, Shell, and SQL.

Experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration technology is a plus.

Experience troubleshooting complex software and/or networking issues.

Prior DevOps or continuous delivery and deployment experience preferred.

Deep experience with continuous deployment tools.

Interest in Generative AI including prompt engineering, retrieval augmented generation (RAG), and fine tuning

Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

You are comfortable with ambiguity. You have a strong sense of ownership, can define your own work plan and can drive projects to completion.

You are excited to learn new technologies and stay on the cutting edge of what’s possible

You’ve taken a product or platform from 0 to 1, you know what it takes to launch something novel

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $109,200 to $178,700 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
