DESCRIPTION

We're building a foundational LLM for Amazon Stores that fuses general world knowledge with Amazon e-commerce domain knowledge to provide new and improved shopping experiences for our customers. Key job responsibilitiesAs a Senior Software Engineer in the Training Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for developing and applying the state of art technology to support our model trainings, such as enabling long context in large language models and improving model training efficiency. You will be the expert in this domain and active coach/mentor other team members to help build the strategic engineering capabilities within this organization.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experienceExperience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering teamExperience with ETL, scheduling, workflow orchestration framework, e.g., Airflow, Mlflow, Kubeflow, etcBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experienceExperience with developing machine learning pipelines at scaleMasters degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.#J-18808-Ljbffr
