You’re an expert backend software engineer and will lead the design, development, and optimization of microservices, RESTful APIs, and ETL processes.Cloud Data:
You harness the power of cloud platforms (especially AWS) to build efficient and cost-effective data solutions, leveraging services like S3, Redshift, EMR, and Glue.Data Architecture:
You possess deep expertise in designing, building, and managing large-scale, distributed data architectures, with a focus on security, scalability, and performance.Data Modeling & Governance:
You excel at data modeling, and establishing data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance.Problem Solving & Optimization:
Complex data challenges excite you. You dissect them with creativity, logic, and find elegant solutions to optimize data pipelines and queries for maximum efficiency.Performance Optimization:
You thrive on driving cost reduction, faster processing times, and efficient data ingestion and will lead these efforts for Oleria.AI/ML:
You understand how to prepare and optimize data for use in AI/ML applications and will collaborate with the broader team to deliver successful trained model deployments.Required Skills10+ years experience in backend software engineering, particularly with microservices and APIs.Deep understanding of data architecture principles and best practices.Strong data modeling and data warehousing skills.Expertise in ETL optimization and data pipeline development.Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and data preparation techniques.Proven ability to optimize systems for cost and performance.Experience with cloud platforms, ideally AWS, with knowledge of S3, Redshift, EMR, and Glue.Strong programming language skills (Python, Java, Go) and willing to work in Go.NoSQL and SQL experience.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Big Data Technology Experience (Hadoop, other).Experience with Graph Databases.What We OfferIndustry-competitive compensation.100% paid medical, dental, and vision benefits for individuals, plus generous contributions toward dependent plan premiums.Company-paid Life, STD, and LTD insurance.12 weeks fully-paid parental leave for all new parents.Flexible PTO policy.13 paid holidays in the US.The base annual compensation range being offered for this role depending on individual candidate level and experience is $180,000 to $240,000 and it provides an opportunity to participate in equity ownership of our technology startup.
